Credits & Trading
Your character's Credits, buying and selling at Bix Weller's shop, and Wade's scrap counter at Rusk Recovery.
Credits are your character's money. Each character has their own balance — Credits aren't shared between the characters on your account. Every character starts with 10 Credits.
You can see your balance on your Character screen and in your Inventory, and it's shown while you're trading.
Trading with Bix
Bix Weller runs Holo Hollow Souvenirs + Mining Supplies, in the town of Holo Hollow. Step into his shop and choose Trade. Talking to Bix and trading with him are separate — you can do either without the other.
Pick Buy or Sell, choose a quantity with the minus, plus, and Max controls, check the total, and confirm with a single Buy or Sell. You stay in the shop afterwards, with your Credits and Inventory updated straight away. A trader who only goes one way simply has no choice to make.
When buying, Max is the most you can actually take away — it accounts for your Credits, the room left in your Inventory, and anything left of a daily limit. When selling, Max is everything you're carrying of that item.
What Bix pays
- Ferrite Shale — 2 Credits each
- Refined Ferrite — 10 Credits each
- Slag — 1 Credit each
- Power Cell — 4 Credits each
- Galvanite — 4 Credits each
- Galvanic Stock — 18 Credits each
What Bix sells
Power Cells cost 12 Credits each. That's more than he pays for them, which he'll explain if you ask him about Power Cells. He doesn't stock anything else at the moment.
He sells each character at most 12 Power Cells a day. The counter shows how many are left for you today, and the count starts again at midnight Pacific time. Selling cells back to him doesn't give you more for the day, and cells you get anywhere else never count against it.
A purchase has to fit: if your Inventory doesn't have room for the whole amount, or you can't afford it, nothing is bought and nothing is charged.
Trading with Wade
Wade Rusk sells Scrap Metal at 4 Credits a piece out of his own yard at Rusk Recovery, once he has put you on the workbench. It works exactly like Bix's counter, out in the yard rather than inside a shop.
He sells each character at most 12 Scrap Metal a day, counted and reset exactly like Bix's Power Cells: the counter shows what's left today, it starts again at midnight Pacific time, and selling scrap back doesn't add to it. Scrap stacks up to three to an inventory slot.
He buys spare Scrap Metal back at 1 Credit a piece, and structural material at the same prices Bix pays where they both buy the same thing: Refined Ferrite at 10 Credits, Galvanic Stock at 18, and Galvaferrite at 45. He still leaves Slag to Bix.
